Gregory Jules Cantin

TYBEE ISLAND, GA - Gregory Jules Cantin, 62, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in Savannah, GA.
Mr. Cantin was born in Wyandotte, MI on February 14, 1950, the son of the late Jules Joseph Cantin and Simone Pinsoneault Cantin. He was the owner of Point Pelican Insurance and Financial Services Center. He was a devout Catholic and member of St. Michael's Catholic Church where he served as a Cantor and was a member of the Parrish Counsel. He always faced life with a positive attitude which was expressed by his way of approaching situations in an innovative and intuitive manner. He had a great love for animals and could often be seen walking his dog, Cody around Tybee Island.
Mr. Cantin was a loving husband, father, and friend to many. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Joyce I. Cantin; daughters, Crystal Berglund Lee of Ishpeming, MI and Lauren Postal Bret of Winter Springs, FL; son, Jules Cantin Juliette of Waterford, MI; granddaughter, Ava Grace Postal; sisters, Sue Ament of Bonanza, OR and Gigi Cantin Pierette of San Diego, CA; step-mother, Dorothea Cantin of Tybee Island, GA and his faithful dog, Cody. He is also survived by aunts, cousins, a niece, a brother-in-law and a host of extended family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc, MI under the direction of Hill Funeral Home in Grand Blanc, MI.
Remembrances may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church, 802 Lovell Avenue, Tybee Island, GA 31328.
My wife Cheryl and offer our deepest condolences to Greg's family. Greg was my cousin and as many of us do as we grow older we loose track of each other. We were shocked by the news of his passing today. Life is very precious cherish it every day! All our Love and prayers are with you.
